WPD Responds to JHHS for Potential Safety Concern

WINCHESTER, Va. — On September 11, 2026, at approximately 1:35 p.m., Winchester Police Department officers responded to John Handley High School for a potential safety concern.

Officers conducted a search of the building out of an abundance of caution. At no time was there an immediate or credible threat to students or staff. Juvenile probation was notified and charges will be sought against the student.
