Officers responded to the 500 Block of Elm St for report of indecent exposure that occurred at McDonald’s on Berryville Ave. Edwin Valiente Herrera, 21, of Winchester was arrested and transported to Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center where he was charged with indecent exposure and held on $2,500 unsecured bond.

Officers responded to the Winchester Medical Center for a delayed report of an assault. The suspect demanded all items from the victim and hit him with a pistol. The victim got away with lacerations to his head. Criminal Investigations Division is investigating.

Officers responded to the Downtown Mall for a report of a vehicle crash. Upon arriving on scene, a witness stated the suspect ran into the ticket machine and then backed into another vehicle. Hannah Carey, 21, of Winchester, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Officers responded to the Cork Street Tavern for a report of property damage. Officers identified Trenton Shank, who admitted to breaking a lantern at the business. He was arrested for Public Intoxication and property destruction.

Officers observed a vehicle recklessly driving and conducted a traffic stop. During the investigation, officers found various drug paraphernalia as well as multiple cans of alcohol. Ivy Pappas, 19, of Winchester, was transported to the NRADC and arrested for reckless driving and being underage while possessing alcohol and marijuana.

The reporting party stated his wallet had been stolen at Walmart and someone was trying to make transactions with his cards. The suspect is known to be homeless and will be interviewed when located. Patrol is currently investigating.

Officers responded to Target for a report of shoplifting. Breanna Feickert, 43, of Middleburg, was arrested for shoplifting and trespassed from the store.

Officers responded to Staples for a report of motor vehicle theft. The victim’s motorcycle was left in a parking space in front of Staples and was stolen. Patrol is investigating.

During a traffic stop, officers searched the vehicle and found syringes and narcotics inside. Daniel Chambers, 41, of Romney, WV, was arrested for possession of illegal substances.

Officers responded to Books A Million for a report of shoplifting. An employee stated the suspect tried returning books, was refunded in the form of a gift card, became aggressive and hostile, and walked out with the refunded books. Patrol is investigating and attempting to locate the suspect.

Officers responded to the Winchester Medical Center for a delayed report of assault. The family of the victim advised officers of an altercation earlier that day. Officers obtained a warrant for Gregory Lincoln, 54, of Winchester for Aggravated Malicious Wounding.

Officers responded to the 2900 block of Sorrell Ct for a report of breaking & entering. Officers cleared the scene and found that the basement window of the residence had been broken. Patrol is investigating.

Officers responded to the 500 block of S Cameron St for a report of larceny from a vehicle. No damage to the vehicle was reported but the victim’s wallet was stolen. Patrol is investigating.

Officers responded to Walmart for a report of a pedestrian struck. Upon arrival, Winchester Fire & Rescue rendered aid to the victim and she was transported to the hospital. Upon reviewing video footage, officers determined there was no aggressive or reckless driving behavior. The pedestrian was seen crossing the street from a grassy median and not the designated crosswalk. Officers are waiting to hear from the forensic nurse if severe injuries are present.

Officers responded to Motel 6 for a report of an individual trespassing on the property. Tanner Smoot, 25, of Winchester, was arrested for trespassing and transported to the NRADC.

Freddy Obando Guadamuz, 25, of Winchester, was arrested for driving under the influence and driving without a license.

Officers returned a phone call from the emergency veterinarian’s office for a report of a cat with a gunshot wound to the neck. Officers arrived at the 200 block of Molden Dr to speak with the owner of the cat. It was determined that the cat had knocked off a loaded gun from a desk inside the residence and the firearm was discharged. The cat should make a full recovery as the bullet did not hit any major arteries.

Officers responded to the 500 block of Tevis St for a report of stolen items from a vehicle. Officers collected fingerprints from the vehicle and determined one item was missing from the victim’s belongings. The victim chose not to press charges.

Officers responded to the 1700 block of Henry Ave for a report of a theft from a vehicle. The victim’s vehicle was broken into and items were stolen from inside. Patrol is investigating.
