WPD Makes Arrest after Investigating Two Incidents
WPD Makes Arrest after Investigating Two Incidents
Published on November 25, 2025
This morning, November 25, 2025, at approximately 4:27a.m., Winchester Police officers responded to a report of a possible robbery in the 2300 block of Stoneridge Road.
Officers spoke to a witness in the area and later found an unoccupied vehicle matching the suspect description in the area of Hillside Ter. While officers were canvassing the area, a call came in for a brandishing in the 800 block of South Cameron St. Officers were able to determine that call was a hoax made by the suspect in the possibly robbery. Officers then located and detained the suspect in the area of Hillside Ter.
The investigation is still ongoing but the male was identified as Andrew Mudd Jr. and is charged with VA code 18.2-422 (Wearing a mask in public) and 18.2-461.1 (Misuse of 911). He was transported to the NRADC.
