The Winchester Police Department is pleased to announce the addition of Jen McVeigh, a seasoned public safety and criminal justice professional with more than 13 years of dedicated service, as the new Accreditation Manager.
Born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley, she brings a strong sense of community, service, and accountability to her work. McVeigh holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice and Public Administration. Her academic background supports a comprehensive approach to law enforcement, integrating evidence-based practices with a strong understanding of human behavior, rehabilitation, and public service systems.
In addition to her criminal justice experience, she has served in a leadership capacity as a Director within Court Services programming, where she has overseen program development, implementation, and management. She has led initiatives that strengthen collaboration among justice partners, promote accountability, and improve outcomes through structured and ethical interventions.
Jen McVeigh is deeply committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability. She recognizes that public trust is foundational to effective law enforcement and prioritizes professionalism, fairness, and respectful engagement in every aspect of her work.
