Shots Fired Watson Ave

This morning, at approximately 6:54 a.m., the Winchester Police Department (WPD) responded to a delayed report of a shooting into a dwelling in the 600 block of Watson Avenue.
A 911 caller stated someone had shot their residence sometime overnight. Officers located vehicles and a residence with bullet damage as well as shell casings in the area. No injuries were reported during this incident.
Officers are currently canvassing the area and talking to nearby residents. If you live in the area and have security camera footage or any information, please contact Detective Beatty at 540-771-7642 or call the police non-emergency number 540-662-4131.
We do not believe the incident represents a larger or ongoing threat to the community. Updates will be provided as they become available.
