One Person Injured In Shooting

On February 27, at approximately 7:32 p.m., the Winchester Police Department responded to a report of the sound of gunshots in the 300 block of South Loudoun Street. After investigating, it was determined that two individuals approached a vehicle and opened fire, causing one non-life-threatening injury.
At this time, the incident appears to be a targeted attack and not a larger threat to the community. WPD will provide updates as more information becomes available, as the safety and well-being of our community remain the top priority.
