Birthday Wishes Program

In this new age of social distancing, many families have been forced to cancel birthday celebration plans for their children. So, in an effort to bring joy to Winchester's youth who have been affected by the quarantine, the Winchester Police Department now offers a new Birthday Wishes program!

In order to be eligible for the Birthday Wishes program, children must:

  • Be 10 years of age or younger
  • Live in the City of Winchester (ZIP code 22601 only
  • Have an April or May birthday

A police officer (or two!) will arrive at the child's home, lights on and sirens blaring, and deliver a personal birthday message over the cruiser's loudspeaker!

Parents, please contact Lt. Amanda Behan today to make arrangements. We'll post a photo of your child's special day on our Facebook page

Though we wish the children in our neighboring jurisdictions the happiest of birthdays, we are unable to travel outside City limits (this includes parts of Winchester that are in Frederick County, Virginia). Thank you for understanding.
