The Winchester Police Department is located in the Timbrook Public Safety Center, 231 E. Piccadilly Street, Winchester, Virginia 22601. Fingerprinting is conducted in the Fingerprinting Room located in the main lobby of the public safety center.
Fingerprinting hours are Tuesday & Thursday from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Services are provided on a first-come, first served basis, but only if trained staff are available.
The Winchester Police Department charges $10.00 for the first fingerprint card and $5.00 for each successive fingerprint card.
Payment must be made and valid identification provided to the operator before your fingerprints are taken. Payment must be made in the form of U. S. Currency (exact change only), check or money order. If one is paying by check or money order it must be payable to Winchester Police Department or City of Winchester, Virginia. Credit and or debit cards are not acceptable means of payment.
Payment is made at our Records Section Window in the Main Lobby and a receipt will be provided upon payment. Please note that the rolling fee includes only the cost of taking your fingerprints! Additional fees may be charged by the Virginia State Police or other criminal justice agencies for criminal background clearances.
