WINCHESTER, VA – The Winchester Police Department (WPD) will host the fifth installment of its popular children’s event, Color with a Cop, on Tuesday, November 8th at two locations:
- Chick-Fil-A Pleasant Valley Road: 8:00-9:30 a.m.
- Apple Blossom Mall (Food Court): 10:00-11:30 a.m.
The Winchester Police Department started the event in 2017 with the area’s youngest residents in mind. “We strive to make positive connections with city residents of all ages and from all backgrounds,” stated WPD Chief Amanda Behan. “Each year that we hold this event, we see new faces, and we see the same children come back – it’s a great feeling knowing that we’ve forged those connections.”
The event is free to attend, and coloring sheets and crayons will be provided, though attendees may bring their own if desired. The event is held on Election Day when schools are closed to ensure children can attend.
