At approximately 1:00 pm on August 1, 2023, Winchester Police Department (WPD) responded to the 400 block of S Cameron St. for a report of a man stabbed by a woman. As officers arrived on scene, the woman, identified as 34-year-old Samantha Myers of Winchester, fled upstairs to the second floor. The victim was found lying on the ground suffering from a stab wound to the lower abdomen.
Officers attempted to negotiate with the suspect from the stairwell but were unable to make contact. WPD SWAT and CNT were activated and called out to the scene. Upon arrival, members from SWAT conducted a search of the residence and located Myers inside a bedroom. At approximately 1:45 pm, Samantha Myers was arrested and taken into custody. Officers also arrested a man, identified as 37-year-old Barron Gordon, who was inside the residence and wanted in Warren County.
Members of the Criminal Investigations Division executed a search warrant for inside the residence. In addition to a knife believed to be used in the stabbing, detectives located suspected Crack-Cocaine and a semi-automatic pistol.
Samantha Myers was charged with domestic assault and battery, malicious wounding, and possession of cocaine. She is being held without bond at the Northwest Regional Adult Detention Center. The victim was transported by Winchester Fire and Rescue to Winchester Medical Center where he remains in serious but stable condition.
