On June 1, 2023, officers responded to a home invasion call on South Braddock Street at approximately 2:15AM. A similar incident occurred on June 7, 2023, when officers responded to an active armed robbery and home invasion call on Bellview Avenue, at approximately 12:02AM.
In response to these home invasions, the Winchester Criminal Investigation Division obtained search warrants related to these investigations. WPD SWAT executed a search warrant on August 4, 2023, in the 200 block of Sharp Street, at approximately 9:45AM, and in the 100 block of West Leicester Street, at approximately 3:54PM.
These home invasion investigations have led to the arrest of two individuals. Zjmani Davis, 23, of Winchester, was arrested for burglary and the use of a firearm in a felony. An additional wanted man, Marcos Cooper, 19, of Winchester, was arrested for assault and battery for an unrelated incident.
