Winchester Police arrested Dameatric Malique Scott of Greencastle, Pennsylvania at approximately 2:20 a.m. for assault on a law enforcement officer, drunk in public, and obstruction of justice.
Winchester Police were on foot patrol on North Braddock and Piccadilly Streets when they observed Scott in an argument with a female. When officers approached him, they observed obvious signs of impairment. He cursed at the officers and then resisted being taken into custody. During the attempt to maintain custody of Scott, an officer was assaulted, and another officer was injured. Both were treated and released by Winchester Medical Center.
Scott was transported to the Northwest Regional Adult Detention Center. Due to his level of intoxication at the time of the arrest, a bond hearing will be conducted at a later date.
