Winchester PD to host first Color with a Cop event

The Winchester Police Department will host its inaugural Color with a Cop event on November 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 at the Chick-fil-A on Pleasant Valley Road, and at the Apple Blossom Mall food court from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Local residents of all ages, both young and young at heart, are invited to either location to meet and have fun coloring with Winchester’s dedicated officers. Crayons and coloring sheets will be provided or participants can bring their own coloring book. Any artwork given to officers at Color with a Cop will be displayed proudly in the Timbrook Public Safety Center for all to admire.

“Color with a Cop was created in order to build on the popularity of the Coffee with a Cop program offered last month,” stated Chief John Piper. “This new event is geared toward children, but is open to anyone who would like to meet some of our officers in a fun and creative environment.”

The events are free and open to the public.
