Suspect Shot During Store Robbery


On January 25, 2017 at approximately 11:39 p.m., officers with the Winchester Police Department responded to the 7-Eleven, located at 1851 S. Pleasant Valley Road, for reports of a robbery and shots fired. Upon investigation, it was determined that a male wearing a mask entered the business, displayed a weapon, and demanded money.  The male forced the female outside at gunpoint at which time the female was able to retrieve her personal weapon to defend herself.  The female fired the weapon, striking the suspect several times. The suspect was admitted to Winchester Medical Center for his injuries.


Kahlil Alexander Kirton, 33, of Winchester, is charged with armed robbery, abduction, use of firearm in the commission of a felony, and wearing a mask in public.
