Man Arrested in Stabbing Incident


On January 7, 2017 at approximately 5:45 a.m., officers with the Winchester Police Department responded to Gibbens Street for a report of a stabbing. Officers located a 37-year-old male victim with multiple stab wounds to his chest, abdomen and legs.  He was transported to Winchester Medical Center with potentially life-threating injuries.


Officers determined the stabbing occurred in an alleyway behind the 600 block of N. Loudoun Street. They also located a weapon believed to be involved in the incident. A short time later, officers arrested the suspect at a home on the 600 block of Fairview Avenue.  Kelvin McLindsey Brown, 56, is charged with malicious wounding and was held with no bond at the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center.
