The Winchester Police Department’s (WPD) Kids & Cops Camp will hold its annual car wash and bake sale on Wednesday, June 19 from 11:00 am-1:30 p.m. at the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Station, located at 2210 Valor Drive in Winchester.
“The car wash is one of the most fun activities during the week for the campers and counselors,” stated camp organizer Sgt. Jon Funk. “It fosters a sense of ‘team’ and allows the campers to work together to provide a service to their fellow community members.”
The Kids & Cops campers will be washing cars for donations, with proceeds benefitting the Winchester-Frederick County Law Enforcement Foundation. Canned goods and non-perishable foods will also be collected onsite and donated to the Highland Food Pantry. The WPD’s Volunteers in Policing will have a variety of baked goods for sale.
