Winchester Police working with regional partners to locate shooting suspect

The Winchester Police Department is continuing the search for Sunday’s Kent Street shooting suspect - Brian Maurice Scott, 34, of Winchester – with the help of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.

“Our detectives are working diligently to process all the evidence, conduct interviews with witnesses and subjects close to the case, and follow every lead,” stated Lt. Amanda Behan. “We’ve brought in federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies from across the region to help us locate Scott, who is considered armed and dangerous.”

Scott is wanted on three felony charges, including possession of a weapon by a felon, discharging a firearm in public, and aggravated malicious wounding, as well as probation violation. Additional charges are pending.
