Winchester Police investigate breaking and entering

 

On January 11, 2019, at 12:37 a.m., the Winchester Police Department (WPD) responded to a residence in the first block of Jackson Avenue for a report of a breaking and entering in progress.

 

The residents reported that they observed two black males at the side door of their residence, one holding a handgun. A call was immediately made to 9-1-1. While on the phone with emergency communications personnel, one of the men forcefully entered the home while the other stayed in the doorway. They immediately fled from the home after realizing one of the residents was on the 9-1-1 call. The two men were last seen running north on Braddock Street. The male who entered the home is described as 5’4”, in his 20s, and wearing a green hooded jacket and black bandana over half of his face. Specific descriptions on the second male are unknown at this time.
