Winchester Police to host second-annual Color with a Cop

The Winchester Police Department will host its second-annual Color with a Cop event on November 6, 2018 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the Chick-Fil-A on South Pleasant Valley Road and from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Apple Blossom Mall food court.

Children of all ages are invited to attend either session, where they will color and engage in fun conversation with Winchester Police officers. Winchester Public Schools and Frederick County Public Schools will be closed November 6, so parents need not worry about the ability of their children to attend.

“The event was very well attended last year, and we enjoyed getting to know our youngest residents,” stated Lt. Amanda Behan. “The conversations with the kids were funny, moving and memorable.”

The event is free. While crayons and coloring sheets will be provided, attendees are encouraged to bring their own. Completed coloring sheets will be used to decorate the patrol work room at the Timbrook Public Safety Center.
