Winchester Police to host inaugural North End Summer Kick-Off

The Winchester Police Department (WPD) will host its inaugural North End Summer Kick-Off on Friday, June 8 from 2:00-
5:00 p.m. at Frederick Douglass Park in Winchester.

“The North End Summer Kick-Off is an addition to the series of successful community outreach events that the WPD has offered in the past year,” stated Lt. Amanda Behan. “We are looking forward to connecting with area middle and high school students with the fun activities that we have planned.”

During the event, Winchester Police officers will host and play in a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, participate in kickball and cornhole games, toss water balloons, and play classic yard games like sack races and egg-and-spoon races with attendants. Food from Aroma Deli will be provided, courtesy of Golden Seal Enterprises.

The event is free and all age groups are welcome.
