The Winchester-Frederick County Law Enforcement Foundation will accept a donation of three emergency first aid kits (EFAK), one for each K-9, during a formal presentation by Stonewall Arms on November 16th at 10:00 a.m. at the Timbrook Public Safety Center.
Winchester business Stonewall Arms was inspired to purchase the EFAKs for the K-9s after K-9 Riggs suffered an injury during routine training on October 27, 2018.
In the days following the accident, the Winchester Police Department (WPD) received several inquiries from individuals and businesses wishing to donate funds to cover the cost of K-9 Riggs’ medical care. The Foundation is able to accept and welcomes these funds, as well as any donations that support the various community outreach projects and events put on by the WPD.
