At approximately 9:55 a.m. on Sunday, April 29, the Winchester Police Department (WPD) responded to Malloy Toyota on Weems Lane for a report of a breaking and entering.
During the initial investigation, officers found that the glass of an interior door in the service area had been shattered. Safes and lockboxes were pried open, and papers thrown out of drawers. Multiple interior doors had been pried open as well. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the business. No vehicles appeared to have been taken from the dealership.
The incident occurred at some time between 9:00 p.m. Saturday, April 28 and 9:00 a.m. Sunday, April 29. A description of the suspect(s) is not yet available, but investigators are reviewing surveillance video and processing evidence collected at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
