The Winchester Police Department announced on March 16, 2020, that community outreach programs will be suspended until further notice. This includes two of the Department's most popular programs, the April session of the Junior Academy and the Kids and Cops Camp. While the camp is not until June, a lot of commitment and planning go into making the program a success; therefore, a difficult decision was made to suspend it. The Department will continue to use the website and social media pages to provide information to the public concerning COVID-19 and how it impacts programs and services. In the meantime, continue to follow the guidelines of the CDC and stay healthy and safe.
