The Winchester Police Department will offer a one-day Citizen Academy on Saturday, November 16, 2019. The new, condensed format is an alternative to the full-length program that traditionally occurs each Tuesday evening from September to November.
“With this new format, we hope to draw in the people who have always been interested in participating in the Citizen Academy, but maybe can’t make the time commitment,” stated program organizer Detective William Griffith. “The learning opportunities and experiences of the participants in the one-day academy will be very similar to those of the participants in the full-length academy.”
