Type of Crime: Breaking and Entering
Location: Douglas Learning Center (598 N Kent Street)

Summary: Building maintenance employees reported on May 25, 2010 that they noticed a hole in the roof of a storage building of the Douglas Learning Center. They then discovered five bicycles with training wheels missing from the storage building.

Then on June 14, 2010 they discovered a broken window to one of the classrooms and several items missing including a white and green digital recorder and a light blue digital camera.

Summary: Sometime overnight on May 15-16, 2010 unknown suspect(s) vandalized numberous vehicles parked along Parkway Street and Shenandoah Avenue by slashing tires and scractching the paint on these vehicles.

Summary: Just before the Apple Blossom Festival, the carnival rides were set up in the 2200 block of Valley Avenue.  During this time someone took 3 sets of aluminum stairs and rails that allow patrons to get onto rides.

The suspect left in a silver 4 door vehicle. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 5'10" and 175 lbs.

Summary: On the afternoon of March 17, 2010 several employees of a doctor’s office realized that their credit cards and identifications were taken from their wallets. The employees had noticed a suspicious black male in the office that day. They described the male as in his early 20’s, 6’ tall, and wearing a green baseball cap.

The credit cards were later used at numerous stores by a white female. The female was described as in her 30’s with short dark hair and wearing a cross necklace, white jacket, and tan pants. The female was picked up by other individuals in a dark green car with a black front end.

Summary: On the evening of Febryary 9th, after eating dinner on the Loudoun Street Mall a couple was walking into an alley to get into their car. They were approached by two men, one displayed a handgun and demanded money.

The woman gave the suspects $3, the suspects were last seen running toward the mall.

The suspects were described as:

Suspect 1: black male,5’10” tall, thin build, wearing a heavy navy blue coat, gray facial hair, and possibly missing a tooth.

Suspect 2: black male, 6'04", 220 lbs, wearing a large black coat. This suspect looked to be younger than the other suspect.

Type of Crime: Flim Flam Fraud
Location: Walgreens & Apple Blossom Mall

Summary: Walgreens and several stores at the Apple Blossom Mall were victims of a flim flam fraud. Cashiers advised that the suspect offered a $100 bill for a small purchase and after the cashier entered that amount into the register, the suspect would then confuse her by offereing different forms of payment and asking for change until he had more money than he originally gave.

There were at least 2 different suspects who were not seen in the same store together and it is unknown how many others may be involved. The suspects remained on a cell phone during the purchases.

The suspects were described as:
Suspect 1: black male, approximately 30-40 years old, 5’10”-6'02", 185 lbs, wearing brown shirt and blue jeans.

Suspect 2: black male, approximately 25-40 years old, 6’-6'02", 200 lbs, wearing blue jeans and a gray sweater over a black shirt

Summary: The Kmart in Winchester, VA has had numerous jewelry items stolen by the same suspect on two different occasions.  The suspect is possibly a very light skinned black male.  He has a stocky build, about 5’7” tall, possibly in his 30’s.  He has a beard and wears dark framed glasses.  He has been seen wearing hooded sweatshirts, black skull cap, and jeans. 

On November 4, 2009 he took men’s rings and on December 13, 2009 he took necklaces from a display case.

Summary: The victim reported coming home to find that her black 1990 Toyota 4Runner was missing. Law enforcement officers located the vehicle in the early morning hours of November 15, 2009 after it had been involved in a single vehicle accident just off of Route 11 in Berkley County, WV. A witness saw the vehicle strike a telephone pole and a male run from the scene.

Summary: Sometime overnight on September 30-October 1, 2009, someone moved a red Mazda 6 from the front lot of Winchester Ford to the back lot where they raised the vehicle on jacks and attempted to remove 2 wheels. Wheels have been taken from other car lots including Kern Motor company over the weekend of August 22-24, 2009 and Parsons Chrysler Plymouth over the Labor Day weekend, September 5-8, 2009.

Summary: On July 4, 2009 at approximately 1813 hours, the suspect vehicle with two white occupants inside tossed a chemical bottle bomb near the east entrance doors of Walmart - 2350 S. Pleasant Valley Road, Winchester, VA where it exploded. No one was injured.

Possible Vehicle Color: Black, Dark Green, or Dark Blue
Additional Features: Smoked wind deflectors on front doors, smoke colored bug shield, chrome bed rails, painted bumpers, and standard rims.

Summary:
On 8/1/08 the victim was assaulted in the 100 block of E Piccadilly St in Winchester and later discovered that his wallet was missing. His credit cards were then used by the suspects at several businesses in Winchester. The suspects can be seen in the images below (click for larger view).

The female is described as W/F, blonde hair, 5'4"-5'7", heavy build, wearing a black tank top and white shorts, has an unknown tattoo on her right shoulder.

The male is described as W/M, brown hair, 6'-6'2", heavy build, wearing a blue polo and tan shorts, has a tattoo on the back of his neck with an unknown word.

Summary: In the early morning hours of June 14, 2009, two separate incidents of arson were reported. In the 900 block of Orchard Avenue witnesses heard an explosion and then observed a fire in a grassy area between two buildings nearby. The suspects possibly left the area in a red vehicle. Later that morning a resident on National Avenue discovered that his flagpole had been broken and the flag had been torn and burned in the yard. Both incidents appear to be related.

Summary: On March 24, 2009, the victim got into a physical fight with another male. Several other males joined the conflict and all punched and kicked the victim and one suspect was possibly in the possession of stick. The victim sustained several facial injuries.

1st suspect - Black male,athletic build, 25-30 years of age, 6', clean-cut hairstyle, wearing a baggy clothes.
2nd & 3rd suspects - Hispanic males.
4th & 5th suspects - Black males.

The suspects left the area in a cream colored pickup truck with a camper top.
