United Bank Robbery Under Investigation
The Winchester Police Department is looking for a man who robbed United Bank on Berryville Avenue Saturday morning. At 9:42 a.m. officers were called to 1041 Berryville Avenue for a robbery. The suspect came into the bank and demanded money. He left the business with an undisclosed amount of money. He is described as a white male, in his late 30’s, about 6’ tall, 180 – 190 lbs., and has a scruffy beard. He was last seen wearing a dark gray or black long-sleeve mock turtleneck, dark colored cargo shorts, and a white hat with an unknown emblem on it. The suspect was seen getting into a white, late 1980’s or early 1990’s Chevrolet truck. He was seen leaving on Elm Street and turning westbound on Berryville Avenue. The incident remains under investigation.
