Winchester Man Charged with Malicious Wounding
On Saturday, August 17 around 9:30 p.m. Winchester Police were called to the first block of Jigsaw Place for a domestic assault. When officers arrived the victim said Vincent Beatty, 21, of Winchester had thrown broken glass at her striking her in the shoulder. When an officer made contact with Beatty inside the residence he would not comply with the officer’s instructions. When the officer attempted to arrest him, he resisted. An officer used a Taser in an attempt to control the suspect. Beatty was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding, Obstruction of Justice, Assault on Law Enforcement, and Resisting Arrest. He was taken to Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center.
