ANIMAL CONTROL
The Winchester Police Department has its own Animal Control Unit that handles a wide range of calls in the City of Winchester. The most common calls for service the animal control officer handles are loose dogs, animal neglect, cruelty to animals, hurt or injured animals, dog bites, rabid animals, and a wide range of other animal related calls. The animal control officer also has a close working relationship with the local S.P.C.A. and provides assistance for the organization when needed.
